What makes the LaunchPad successful in the jumps?

It is well accepted in coaching circles and by jumping researchers that jumping off raised platforms, or boxes give jumpers a great advantage in training:

  1. Increased take-off height
  2. Allows for shorter runs, and more attempts per session without sacrificing performance.

The LaunchPad is more than a jump box, however. It's ramped design shifts the angle of the take off surface and the ground reaction force a jumper receives at take-off, and thus changes the jumpers flight.

Jumpers are able to attain better height and trajectory during practice with significantly less effort

Many more attempts can be completed in each technique session, with increased success. This makes jump training much less exhausting, easier, fun, and more meaningful.
